The Apex Halo kit is engineered specifically for modern Spike architectures, providing massive light output and seamless color gradients tailored to your specific system:

• Spike 3 Systems: Features a custom in-house PCB driver that mounts natively into all Spike 3 speaker housings, populating each side with 40 ultra-bright, high-density RGB LEDs (80 LEDs total).

• Spike 2 Systems: Utilizes premium 5.25″ circular LED rings—rather than the Spike 3 PCBs—delivering an incredible density of 46 LEDs per side (92 LEDs total).

Exclusive Pre-Order Bonus: Every Apex Halo kit includes a complimentary set of custom, game-themed LED lenses (Pokémon, Star Wars, etc.). These lenses drop directly into the speaker housing, transforming the raw LED output into a sharp, beautifully diffused focal point. By locking our manufacturing profiles to exactly a 100% external perimeter setting, we ensure the structural surface finish of every lens is immaculate, resulting in perfectly even light diffusion without any harsh internal shadows or grid lines.

System Requirements & Compatibility:

• Spike 3 Machines: 100% compatible with all Spike 3 titles natively.

• Spike 2 Machines: Compatible with select Spike 2 titles. IMPORTANT: Your Spike 2 machine must have the official Stern Expression Lighting Kit already installed to use our system. The factory Spike 2 architecture requires the Stern expression daughterboard to provide the dedicated data signal that our hardware pulls from. Additionally, Spike 2 systems require Stern’s 5.25″ speaker kit. If your current machine does not have 5.25″ speakers, we sell a separate 5.25″ conversion kit to seamlessly upgrade your hardware.

Demystifying Spike 2 Compatibility (Pro, Premium, & LE) While Stern traditionally gates their factory Expression Lighting and 5.25″ speaker plates to Limited Edition (LE) models, our system does not require an LE machine. However, because the factory Spike 2 node boards do not output the necessary ambient lighting data stream on their own, your Spike 2 machine (whether it is a Pro, Premium, or LE) MUST have at least one official Stern Expression Lighting Kit (either the cabinet lights or the speaker lights) already installed. Our Apex Core controller utilizes that existing Stern daughterboard to pull the data required to drive our expanded LED arrays.
